I was born and raised in Upstate New York, specifically the Finger Lakes Region. Here it’s eleven long and narrow lakes located directly south of Lake Ontario and known for its breathtaking scenery, outdoor activities, and more wineries and craft breweries than one can count. The most popular and favorite, in my biased opinion, would be Seneca Lake. It’s known to be the deepest lake in the FLX and the home to over 35 wineries surrounding its glorious waters.
A short drive south to Erie, Pennsylvania is where I received my degree and attended Mercyhurst University. Playing on the Women’s Lacrosse Team for 3 years of my education allotted me to continue my love for the game from such a young age. Unfortunately, due to two severe concussions I was unable to finish out as a full-time student athlete and focus remarkably more on my education. Interning with the Athletic Department allowed me to stay connected to sports, this passion developed significantly stronger when implementing graphic design with my photography for different men’s and women’s athletic teams. In so, I have received multiple awards for my achievements, took part in numerous internships and volunteering work that has lead me to opening doors in new career opportunities.
Mercyhurst will always have a piece close to my heart. At a mutual friend’s hockey game, I went with hopes of growing my portfolio and took game day photographs of the team. Sharing with the coach and players, this is how I was introduced to my now husband, Matthew. It’s been history since and I wouldn’t change a single thing. After leaving college our career paths have taken us onto a new journey, Matthew joining the Armed Forces and myself working in Graphic Design. We have lived and visited so many new places, I’m extremely appreciative for what we’ve been allowed to see in each new location. He’s my biggest supporter and I’m beyond thankful that I get to enjoy this life with him.
My husband and I have two spoiled dogs, Maverick and Remi. Both were rescued as we heavily believe in the mantra “Adopt, Don’t Shop.” Maverick was rescued when living in Pennsylvania, where Remi was rescued when living in California. Both have their own quirks that make them unique; Maverick has always possessed the quality of one ear up, and one ear down. When he walks, it’s more of a trot where the ear bent bounces up and down with each step. Remi on the other hand is a purebred German Shepard, having the bold, sassy, and impulsive “get her way” attitude yet treats Maverick as her “protective” older brother. They are both extremely energetic and love to go on hikes, play fetch, and stare down squirrels.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my website and work, and most of all reading this to the end. If you see something you like, prints and designs are available for purchase. If you want something customized please don’t hesitate to contact me, it’s not out of the question. I love designing new items, exploring new locations to photograph, and finding small details or new angles most people miss. Shoot me an email if you have any new places that you think I would love to explore! I’d love to hear from you, and hope to meet you in the near future!
